New Series~My poems

Well hello there! I am so glad you decided to click on this post to see what it’s all about 🙂 You can pretty much tell what it’s about from the title, but I am going to explain a little better!

So yes, I do write poetry. I really enjoy it too! Rhyming and putting words together comes really easy to me, which is quite helpful when writing poetry, haha! Some are longer than others and some are more personal than others as well. The thing I love the most is the fact that God speaks to me through almost all of them. Most of my writings are me just pouring my heart out. Most of them start out as a problem or something I have been dealing with, but by the end God has turned it completely around and He adds hope and encouragement.

How did this series come about? I had mentioned something about writing poems in a previous post and my fabulous blogging friend, Maggie said she’d love to see some of them. I always thought about posting my poems, but the thought of it was pretty daunting, especially because most are quite personal. BUT, I have decided to just go for it! Maggie really inspired me to do so too, so “THANK YOU, MAGGIE! YOU ROCK!” I am not sure how often I will be posting poems, but when I do I hope that they will inspire you! Shall we begin?!

My first poem I will be posting is one I wrote just a few days ago. This is a perfect example of why I love writing them SO much! As you’ll be able to tell this is just a  back-in-forth conversation between me and God. God’s words to me are in the quotations.

So that is that! I hope you enjoyed reading and I hope it touched you even in the slightest of ways! May your day be bright and beautiful 😀 ❤

  1. Aww I’m so glad I could inspire you, girl!! I’m already so in love with this series! ❤ the one you shared in this post is so beautiful. I think my favorite part was when God said, "With My very words I created the moon." ❤ It's a huge blessing when the Lord uses others' writing to inspire us, and especially when we're encouraged by what we ourselves have written! I don't write much poetry, but I do love writing down my thoughts to Him, and they're a joy to read later. The biggest motivation is being able to see how far He has brought me! Thank you so much for posting this today!! ❤

  2. “With my very words I created the moon”– love that thought. We are going through some hard weeks here and thinking on God’s greatness (and his his care) are so important, so encouraging. So happy to have found your blog. Thank you for sharing truth out for everyone to read…

    • Thank you, Lindsay! Yeah, that tone was accidental, haha! It’s that way because that is literally how it was wrote; I would write something and God would speak His words to me right after. I am glad it could inspire you! No problem, it’s my pleasure. Thanks for reading! God bless you too, girl ❤️
