Prayer Request

Hello there wonderful people! Today I have a very short post just asking for some prayer.

People I personally do not know (they are my friend’s friends) need to be uplifted in prayer right now.

So, a couple from my bestfriend’s church have been in a motorcycle accident. I do not know many details other than they are at the hospital getting x-rays done and they are in a lot of pain. If you could I would like to ask everyone reading this to pray. I know they would be more than grateful. If you like things to be a little more personal, like I do, their names are Jim and Barbara.

I have seen the power of God at work in the past with all of your wonderful prayers and I know it can happen again! Prayer is a VERY powerful thing alone and when you have multiple people to pray along too, well let’s just say miracles happen.

New Series~My poems

Well hello there! I am so glad you decided to click on this post to see what it’s all about 🙂 You can pretty much tell what it’s about from the title, but I am going to explain a little better!

So yes, I do write poetry. I really enjoy it too! Rhyming and putting words together comes really easy to me, which is quite helpful when writing poetry, haha! Some are longer than others and some are more personal than others as well. The thing I love the most is the fact that God speaks to me through almost all of them. Most of my writings are me just pouring my heart out. Most of them start out as a problem or something I have been dealing with, but by the end God has turned it completely around and He adds hope and encouragement.

How did this series come about? I had mentioned something about writing poems in a previous post and my fabulous blogging friend, Maggie said she’d love to see some of them. I always thought about posting my poems, but the thought of it was pretty daunting, especially because most are quite personal. BUT, I have decided to just go for it! Maggie really inspired me to do so too, so “THANK YOU, MAGGIE! YOU ROCK!” I am not sure how often I will be posting poems, but when I do I hope that they will inspire you! Shall we begin?!

My first poem I will be posting is one I wrote just a few days ago. This is a perfect example of why I love writing them SO much! As you’ll be able to tell this is just a  back-in-forth conversation between me and God. God’s words to me are in the quotations.

So that is that! I hope you enjoyed reading and I hope it touched you even in the slightest of ways! May your day be bright and beautiful 😀 ❤

Prayer Needed: UPDATE

Hello wonderful people! I hope your day is going amazing! I am here with a quick post. I just want to let everybody know how my brother is doing.

Well, turns out my original post was inaccurate, (things were crazy!) my brother actually broke his shoulder, not his collarbone. He did have to get surgery, he had two long pins put into his shoulder which will be surgically removed in 6 or so weeks. Now that we got all of the facts out-of-the-way; overall he is doing very good! Obviously he can’t do anything with that arm (thankfully it was his left, as he is right-handed), but he is well. He actually hasn’t taken any pain-killers since yesterday evening, because the pain isn’t bad, which is a huge blessing!!

Thank you to ALL of those who prayed for him! Your prayers are VERY appreciated! My brother thought it was awesome that people he doesn’t even know, from all over the place were praying for him! Here is what he had to say:

“Thank you so much for all  your prayers, they’ve been working! I please ask that you’ll continue to pray, because this Wednesday I have a check-up on how I am doing. Thank you so much for all you’ve been doing.”

I know my family would still love it if y’all could continue to pray for him. We are praying that the healing process will be very speedy! There is already evidence of this showing, which is an amazing thing to praise God about 😀

As always, have a blessed and amazing day!

Prayer Needed

Hi everyone! I am here calling all prayer warriors for a favor. My brother is a football player (an amazing one too!) he was at a game tonight and he recovered a fumble (told ya he was good 😉) Unfortunately in the mix of it all he broke his collarbone, pretty badly too. He also pulled his arm out of socket which does not make the situation any better. He was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. Currently my parents are waiting for the surgeon to tell them whether he needs surgery right now, or not. This is a situation that needs to be handed over to God, for sure. We are praying for a miracle to happen, we know it can happen. In case you didn’t know: God is awesome y’all!! Again, my whole family would really appreciate all of your prayers. Thank you, all of you guys are so awesome 😊❤️

My Revelation on Worship

Okay, so I promised to write a post on my revelation of worshipping, so, here it is 🙂 If you have not read the first post on this topic, please check out it out HERE! First of all, I want to thank the people who replied and left comments, your answers are greatly appreciated! Okay, so here we go…

My experience: If it was beyond my closed bedroom doors, I was scared to worship God. I desired to worship so freely, but I was so intimidated by other people’s thoughts. I was previously terrified to raise my hands and praise God, as a matter of fact, there was a time where I was even afraid to clap my hands!

As you just read, I was scared of other people’s thoughts about me, but here is how God brought me through this, this is my breakthrough moment:

God asked me this question, “What do you think about people who truly worship Me?”

My response, “Well, I think they are brave, devoted, passionate, bold, fearless, free, and pretty awesome”

God’s response to me after that is quite funny~

He said, “And you are scared people are going to think those things about you?! You are scared that people will think you are bold and devoted?!”

After slapping my face in a complete, ‘duh!’ moment, let me just say, MESSAGE RECEIVED! Sometimes I can be so oblivious, even to things I wonder about! God is so awesome! He is really funny, too! Thank You Jesus 🙂

I know I am not sharing this just for me, this is meant for somebody, I believe it! Worship and praise God with no limits!! Even if there are people who think negative things about you, that is not your problem, that is between them and God! BE FREE!

Here are three of the replies I had to this question and my response to them:

K marie “I think that it is good to be passionate about worship as long as it is genuine. I enjoy the people at my church who are so deeply moved by the service that they put up their hands. As long as they are not doing it to impress people around them and they are genuinely praising God with zeal then I think it can be a positive thing.”

My response: I agree with this. People are either scared of what people think, so they don’t do anything, or they are scared of other’s thoughts, so they fake it. Neither way is appropriate, though. Worship is NOT about what people think about you. The only thing you need to be concerned about is: God and you. That’s it.

twilightpaint “I agree with K Marie, but sadly some of the people at our church do not raise their hands. But my family does and I can sometimes feel awkward that sometimes we are the only one who raises our hands. But our people at church do sing aloud, so I am great full for that. I totally love worshiping and singing to our God”

My response: You go girl 🙂 I understand that there are times you may feel awkward, but keep digging deeper! Forget your surroundings, this is a time for you and God, and you two only!

HisSparrowBlog“I agree completely with K Marie. Another thought I have to go with it, though, is what if you don’t raise your hands or show outward emotion because you’re scared of what others will think? I struggle with this since I’m shy. I know we all worship in our own ways, but I’m not sure NOT raising my hands (because I’m scared) is any better than doing it for attention.”

My Response: Oh my goodness! So this lovely lady responded after I wrote this post, but before I had published it!! God is good! Basically this whole post is my response to her!

Takeaway: Worship and praise God no matter what! Do not worry about other’s thoughts. This is between you and God, not man!

**Let me just say, I am still learning how to completely let go of myself during worship, but I did take a HUGE leap!**

Thank You Jesus! Thank you for this revelation! I pray that this will affect people, I pray it will touch their Spirit. I pray that it will compel people to freely worship You with ALL of their heart! I pray for breakthroughs in EVERY life right now, in the name of Jesus. I ask that each one of Your sons and daughters that may struggle with this,  may leap forward into You, with NO fear. I declare these things in the name of Jesus. Amen!

For an Extra bonus Here are Some Bible Verses on Worship and Lifting your hands:

1 Kings 8:54

“When Solomon had finished praying this entire prayer and supplication to the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread toward heaven.”

Nehemiah 8:6

“Then Ezra blessed the LORD the great God. And all the people answered, “Amen, Amen!” while lifting up their hands; then they bowed low and worshiped the LORD with their faces to the ground.”

Psalm 63:4

“So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.”

1 Timothy 2:8

“Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and dissension.”

Lamentations 3:41

“We lift up our heart and hands Toward God in heaven;”

Live With Actions, Not Just Thoughts (A must read!)

Okay, so this past Friday night and all day Saturday I attended a conference-type thing for my youth group. The theme was ‘Freedom Weekend’. And boy was it amazing! Thank you Pastor Antoine for such a mind-blowing weekend!!

I just wanted to share one very awesome and life-changing thing that I have learned from my pastor, ‘The Triangle of Transformation’

Okay, so this may not look too life-changing by looking at it, but let me explain it a little bit! I am going to try to be as clear as possible, but please let me know if you have any questions or comments below.

So, basically what this triangle is saying is: your thoughts determine your beliefs and your beliefs determine your actions. But, let us go deeper than that…

Here is the truth of the matter:

  •  you have victory in Christ?
  •  you are forgiven?
  • God overcomes evil and fear?
  • God heals he sick and broken?

I am guessing you had said yes to ALL of the preceding questions, so the REAL question, do you act upon the things you say you believe?

  • Act from victory?
  • Live as you are forgiven; and as a forgiver?
  • Live a life free from ALL fears?
  • Live a healed and whole life?

To TRULY believe in something you have to take an action that proves that. I will use victory as an example; Do you believe in God you have all victory? I mean, you have the victory through Him, that is shown in this verse:

“For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight or you against your enemies to give you victory.” Deuteronomy 20:4

But, do you live in victory? Is your life victorious? Do you believe you are fighting for victory or from victory? Once you are completely honest with yourself this can change a lot of things.

Another example I will use is fear. This is the one that I can relate to the most. I have always “believed” that fear is something we are not meant to have. I know fear does not come from God…as stated in 1 Timothy 1:7:

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

If I thought fear is not from God and is something I am not meant to have,  then why did I pursue it? Well for me, I believe I have been fighting for victory. Also, I can now say that I have never honestly believed that I could live a life free from fear, if I had, I would have acted upon it. I have always put it into my mind that, ‘I will be there someday.’ or ‘One day I will be set free.’. Those are big lies that I have told myself, for God has ALREADY set me free. I have accepted Jesus as my Savior, and I have received His promised Spirit. When we do that we are set free in Christ:

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”                  2 Corinthians 3:17

It is hard to say, that I have never believed it, but I know that it is the truth. Of course I always had thought it, but I have never really acted upon my freedom from fear. I have heard the statement, ‘we are fighting from victory, not for it’ before, but I have never TRULY comprehended it, until now.

This has greatly impacted my life and I know it has and will for many others, too. I just want to pass on what I have received and I hope that it will encourage you to live with actions, not just thoughts!

Lord, Jesus I thank You for this breakthrough in my life. I thank You for the revelations I received over this past weekend. I pray that I will continue to practice this skill, and I will never become weary of acting upon the freedom that You have given me. I also pray that EVERYONE who reads this will be overcome with the Holy Spirit. I pray for breakthrough in other’s lives right now in the name of Jesus. I also ask that You will expose any of the enemy’s lies right now, I pray that for EVERY lie exposed, that they will receive a truth from You to replace it. Thank You Jesus for always answering our prayers. I thank You for EVERY person who reads this, and I pray that they will be greatly affected. In Jesus’ name. AMEN!

Please let me know if you have any comments, questions, or prayer request below. Have a wonderful and blessed day☀️
