Trusting in His Timing- A Collab

Happy Wednesday everybody! Today’s post is going to be kind of unique…Today I am pairing up with Maggie, the lovely writer behind Dreaming of Guatemala  in a blog collab! Basically what is happening is we are both writing on the same topic, just in different forms. When y’all are done reading my post, (or before you read mine, I truly don’t mind either way, haha!) please make sure you read Maggie’s post !

The topic that Maggie suggested was ‘Trusting in His Timing’. Right as soon I had seen this I knew this topic had to happen! She had said this is something she had been struggling with and I was quick to second that. So today I am going to compile some poems together that I have written – some recent and others not – that deal with God, His will, His timing, and patience. Some of these poems were written over a year ago, while some were created within the past hour. Some are not completely finished, but I decided to include them anyway.

Let’s begin, shall we?!

It’s hard to find the balance between doing and  waiting. I often feel like time and I are dating. I want to do things and get them done, I feel as though I need to run. I just really need to sit down and trust in His timing. If only it were as easy as rhyming!

Trust in God is what they say. I believe it, but it’s not feeling quite as easy today. Your timing, not mine. This thought does not settle fine. I know it’s better when you’re in charge, but God I’m not patient I need You to barge!

I know You see it and I cannot. God help me to know that I will not rot.  I can only see things as they are now, You say I have a good future, this You vow. God my trust in You is lacking. It’s like all my hope I’ve been away packing. Seriously, how can this be?! You have never, even once failed me. Yet here I am in all of my doubt….this cannot be what life is about.

I thought You should be working on my time table.  Honestly that is just me limiting what I think You are able. God I know you are capable of way more than my every thought, but when nothing is happening I can’t help but feel caught. I want things to come fast, yet if they actually did they wouldn’t last. I know things are better with You running it all. If it wasn’t for You I’d be in a constant fall.

 You say to ask for anything in Jesus’ name, You say we’ll receive it, it’s not a game. How do I become patient enough to wait? How do I just stay here and not jump the gate? I need to believe more with my heart, I need to actually allow You the head start. All this time I’ve been wanting to skip the race; what I really need to do is slow my pace. I’m trying to reach the finish line, which I know is quite fine, but how I’ve been doing it isn’t right. I need to rely on God for all of my might. So in the name of Jesus I ask for guidance and peace. I pray that both of these You’ll release.

Well there you have it! So I guess the majority of these poems are just really me complaining about waiting for God to move in my life. There is really nothing extremely positive about them, yet they are real. This is what I am going through in my life at the moment and YES I feel it’s getting better! In no time at all I’ll be posting some more poems (that are actually uplifting 😉) describing me overcoming this. In the mean time I am going to learn in this season of waiting. I need to learn to be patient and I also need to learn to trust God more.

God is amazing and so is His timing, I promise! I have gone through seasons like this before where I start to doubt, but He always proves Himself to be faithful.

I want to encourage you to not give up. It may seem like God is going too slow, and things might never workout, but chill! His plans will persevere and the moment will come where you’ll look back and be so happy that things didn’t go your way, on your time. (I may have wrote that just for myself to read, haha)

I hope you enjoyed reading! Again, be sure to check out the latest post on Dreaming of Guatemala

I wish all of y’all a very blessed and amazing day ❤️

Prayer Update and Another Request

Hello to all of you amazing people 😁

I am here again with another short post. I have an update on Jim and Barbara and a prayer request for my brother.

So, Jim and Barbara went home the same night of the accident. They are still in some pain, but nothing more than some scrapes. PRAISE GOD!!! Thank you all for your prayers for them ❤️

Now onto the request-my brother, the one who broke his shoulder a couple of months ago is going back into surgery tomorrow morning. He had two pins placed into his arm and tomorrow is the day he gets them removed. I would like to ask if y’all could pray the surgery will go well. I also ask that you pray for a speedy recovery and for him to have a calm mind about it all.

Thank you guys so much for all the prayer support y’all give! I am so thankful to have a community of people who are willing to take some time out of their day to pray❤️

The Fall Tag đŸ

Hello and a happy Tuesday to all of y’all! Today I am sharing my answers to a tag that I was nominated for; It’s the ‘Fall Tag’! It was created by Maggie over at Dreaming of Guatemala and she just so happens to be the one that nominated me as well! Thank you Maggie ❤ The purpose behind this tag is to spread the joy that Fall brings! So, without further ado, let’s do this thing!

~The Fall Tag~

Rules:

Put the tag badge and rules in your post.

Answer the 10 fall-related questions.

Tag at least 5 other bloggers to join in the fun!

img_4744What’s your favorite fall outfit? Well, I have an absolute favorite top that I think is perfect for fall, it’s kind of difficult to describe, so I decided to just add a picture. This has been my favorite fall-ish shirt for years! I paired it with some skinny jeans, boot socks, and boots.

 2.) What is fall weather like where you live? Well, that’s a sad story. Let’s just say it is currently 83 degrees and that is the coolest it’s been in a little while. #thatsfloridaforya BUT, good news! It seems like everyday it get closer to the wonderful weather I love, and for that I am super grateful 🙂

3.) Your favorite drink to have in the fall?  Herbal tea. Although I enjoy drinking it every season, it just feels so right in the fall! This year I really want to try some fall inspired flavors! WAIT! I also LOVE warm apple cider, it’s amazing!

4.) Does your family have any fall traditions? If so, what are they?  I really don’t think we do….unless you count Thanksgiving?! Then in that case, yes! We always have a big and delicious meal 😛

5.)What are some activities and events you enjoy going to in the fall months? An activity I really enjoy is taking photos, usually of my siblings! As for events, we really don’t go to too many, but in the past we have been to fall festivals/trunk or treats which I always enjoyed!

6.) What’s your favorite fall-scented candle? I am going to go with, ‘apple cinnamon’. It’s scent just gives me those autumn tingles, haha!

Image result for autumn tree7.) Tell us about one of your favorite fall memories.  One of my favorites was one from having a photo-shoot with 2 of my three siblings. We got into our most fall-ish clothing and began taking a bunch of pictures! I love looking back at them and laughing at all the amazing memories. The same day we made big piles of leaves to jump into! It’s funny, because we didn’t have many leaves, so we asked our lovely neighbors if we could take their leaves into our yard….let’s just say they were more than okay with it, haha!

8.) What are some fall movies you enjoy watching? Hmmm….I am not sure if I really know of any fall movies. I guess this could be a good time to mention some t.v. shows that I watch that have began a new season this fall though! There is: Heartland, Once Upon A Time, The Flash, and soon The Good Witch should be coming back!

9.)What’s your favorite fall treat? PUMPKIN PIE. No doubt. It’s the absolute best!

10.) If you celebrate Halloween, what is the best costume you’ve worn? I have had an array of costumes throughout my years, (I talk as if I have been around for a very long time, lol!) my dad used to make me AMAZING costumes when I was younger! But, for the sake of lending my memory a hand, I am going to choose something more recent, haha! I am going to say: a hula dancer. It was the most simple of my costumes, but it was the most comfortable! My second choice would be what I was last year-my made-up character, Bob. He is a man in his 30’s-40’s who is an auto mechanic. Don’t judge 😉

Well that is all of the questions! I hope you enjoyed reading! Now for the nominations:

Dancer 4 the King, beYOUtiful, Daughter of Grace

Typically Untypical Teen, A Farm Girl’s Life

Oh yes, one more nomination……YOU!

Tag you’re it!

If you decide to take part in this tag please leave a link in the comments so I can check it out ❤

Today I Choose Joy

Hi wonderful and beautiful readers! I found this lovely post on a terrific blog that I follow (you should also follow it as well 😉) I feel that this is a very good message and one that we should all remember on a daily basis, no matter what’s going on in life.

Daughter of Grace

Today I choose joy when school is pushing anxiety;

Today I choose joy when people can be rude;

Today I choose joy when I don’t feel healthy enough;

Today I choose joy when life is hard and isn’t going my way;

Today I choose joy when the devil is trying his hardest to depress me;

Today I choose joy when I’m scared of change;

Today I choose joy when I keep on stumbling;

Today I choose joy when my friends reject God’s love;

Today I choose joy because I pray God will send me again;

Today I choose joy because I know there is hope for the future;

Today I choose joy because I’m desperate for God’s help;

Today I choose joy because I am child of God;

Today I choose joy because that grade is not going to matter 5 years from now;

Today I choose joy for myself;

Prayer Needed: UPDATE

Hello wonderful people! I hope your day is going amazing! I am here with a quick post. I just want to let everybody know how my brother is doing.

Well, turns out my original post was inaccurate, (things were crazy!) my brother actually broke his shoulder, not his collarbone. He did have to get surgery, he had two long pins put into his shoulder which will be surgically removed in 6 or so weeks. Now that we got all of the facts out-of-the-way; overall he is doing very good! Obviously he can’t do anything with that arm (thankfully it was his left, as he is right-handed), but he is well. He actually hasn’t taken any pain-killers since yesterday evening, because the pain isn’t bad, which is a huge blessing!!

Thank you to ALL of those who prayed for him! Your prayers are VERY appreciated! My brother thought it was awesome that people he doesn’t even know, from all over the place were praying for him! Here is what he had to say:

“Thank you so much for all  your prayers, they’ve been working! I please ask that you’ll continue to pray, because this Wednesday I have a check-up on how I am doing. Thank you so much for all you’ve been doing.”

I know my family would still love it if y’all could continue to pray for him. We are praying that the healing process will be very speedy! There is already evidence of this showing, which is an amazing thing to praise God about 😀

As always, have a blessed and amazing day!

Prayer Needed

Hi everyone! I am here calling all prayer warriors for a favor. My brother is a football player (an amazing one too!) he was at a game tonight and he recovered a fumble (told ya he was good 😉) Unfortunately in the mix of it all he broke his collarbone, pretty badly too. He also pulled his arm out of socket which does not make the situation any better. He was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. Currently my parents are waiting for the surgeon to tell them whether he needs surgery right now, or not. This is a situation that needs to be handed over to God, for sure. We are praying for a miracle to happen, we know it can happen. In case you didn’t know: God is awesome y’all!! Again, my whole family would really appreciate all of your prayers. Thank you, all of you guys are so awesome 😊❤️

Flourless Chocolate Cake

A dense, fudgy, chocolatey cake goes great with ice cream, especially with some extra chocolate ganache poured on top.

Yes, I know.

ANOTHER CHOCOLATE RECIPE.

Okay, so chocolate is like, my favorite thing to eat so please don’t blame me. If you love chocolate like me, please continue reading.

Or if you hate chocolate you can still keep reading. Do what your heart desires.

We are going to start by placing butter and chocolate in a bowl and melting it over a double boiler or microwave. I used salted butter.

Then we are going to add in some white sugar…

The great thing about this is that you use 1 bowl to make the batter, which is great. We are going to add in 3 eggs, one at a time.

Add some cocoa powder (and again, no need to dirty that sifter!)..

And that is all the ingredients you…

I apologize😢

I want to apologize for not keeping up with my schedule these past few days. I am going to try to be more prepared, so I can get things done on time, though!

One thing I would like to ask is if any of my followers are interested in being a spotlight blogger for my “Blogger Spotlight” Fridays. These people will get a whole post about them and their blog. If interested, please comment below and I will send you some fun questions!
